Thunder Road: Vendetta is an amazing update to the classic game, and a new, smaller, faster, and sleeker game is being added to the lineup:

Restoration Games announced Thunder Road: Ignition, a new game in the post-apocalyptic world of Thunder Road. Ignition is a standalone game that uses the core game system from Vendetta with tweaks to provide a familiar yet new, streamlined play experience. The company is looking to bring the game to an even wider audience given its commercial and critical acclaim since its release.

The game will retail for $35 and comes in a smaller box, using half-sized boards (with curved roads). Other new features include: four new car crews in four new colors, new commands, and new terrain and damage types.

Starting in 2027, IELLO will exclusively distribute the game outside North America. This new opportunity further strengthens the partnership between IELLO and Restoration Games, building on the proven success of their collaboration on Unmatched, which has established a strong and lasting presence across international markets.

“We are extremely proud to expand our relationship with Restoration Games,” said Laurence Grau, International Sales Manager at IELLO. “The success of Unmatched worldwide demonstrated the strength of our collaboration and our shared vision. With Thunder Road: Ignition, we are taking this partnership even further, bringing another standout title to retailers and players worldwide.”
"We have been blown away by the reception of Thunder Road,” said Justin D. Jacobson, owner of Restoration Games. “But we knew there were plenty of folks outside our regular fan base who might not give it a look. We wanted to do a new version that captures all of the wild action with a little quicker play time, a little smaller price tag, and a few less rules to learn. Sort of like strapping a heat-seeking missile onto a too-small car. With Ignition, the team did just that.”

Ignition will premiere at Gen Con in July of this year, with a wider commercial release following. Special promo curved road boards will be available at Gen Con and for customers who order directly from the Restoration Games website.
