Today, Ice-Pick Lodge and HypeTrain Digital released a new trailer for their upcoming game, Pathologic 3. The trailer depicts how players can maniuplate time to undo their mistakes and rewrite history.
Cornered?
Players once again find themselves in a remote town gripped by a mysterious, lethal plague. The city is doomed: the disease will consume it in twelve days. Every crucial decision has already gone wrong and the bad ending seems inevitable. But Pathologic 3 breaks the rules and lets you try to undo each fatal mistake.
Time: Ally and Adversary
Investigate the town, examine patients, impose harsh decrees, and brave the quarantined districts in a desperate bid to save its townsfolk. But when time pushes you into a corner, leap back and try again.

Time Jumps as Core Gameplay
Time jumps and temporal experimentation are the game’s core mechanic and the defining twist of Pathologic 3. They chart the journey from a hostage of circumstance to someone trying to assemble the perfect puzzle of events – piecing the world into a single riddle and becoming something greater.
Amalgam – the Currency of Minutes
Time travel demands a rare resource: Amalgam. Acquire it by
completing critical quests;
performing merciful euthanasia on those beyond saving;
shattering mirrors—where every reflected life doubles your precious seconds.

The Story Fights Back
The plague strives to cut the narrative short. Resist it. Vaccines, quarantines, and uncompromising edicts are your bargaining chips with time—return to the past and redirect the future.
Flexible Reconstruction of Events
An interactive Mind Map lets you erase individual decision branches and splice in new choices without disturbing everything else. Only by assembling the right chain of causes and effects will players unlock hidden locations, endings, and answers.
