SEGA and Louis De Guzman Announce Sonic the Hedgehog Collection

Today, SEGA announced a new collection of merchandise and apparel in collaboration with Louis De Guzman to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog. The collection includes t-shirts, jackets, pillows, and even prints and sculptures. The collection will debut at ComplexCon in Las Vegas on November 16th to 17th as well as a pop-up store in Chicago from December 10th to 17th where fans can meat the artist, look at Sonic inspired paintings, take pictures, and even play Sonic X Shadow Generations.

Filipino-American artist Louis De Guzman and SEGA of America, Inc. (“SEGA”) have collaborated to create a new collection in celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog™, which will debut in November 2024. De Guzman and SEGA will design and develop a variety of goods for game enthusiasts and art collectors alike. Pulling cues from De Guzman’s signature style and original body of work, the collaboration highlights Sonic as well as Shadow the Hedgehog in a reimagined product line that pays homage to the energy and vibrance of both characters.

The first collection release contains a range of apparel and merchandise including t-shirts, a work jacket, fleece sweatshirts, kids tops, a tin lunchbox, and a printed throw pillow. Alongside these goods, the collection will include hyper limited fine art screen prints and collectible sculptures standing at 11.5” tall.

The Louis De Guzman x Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration will bring an activation to ComplexCon Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center on November 16 and 17, 2024 as well as a retail/gallery pop-up in Chicago at 3477 S Archer Avenue Chicago, IL 60608 from December 10 to 17, 2024 where fans can meet the artist, view Sonic the Hedgehog-inspired paintings, take pictures with life size sculptures, and play SEGA’s latest Sonic game, SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS™.

“A visit to the SEGA of America headquarters brought back many core memories from my childhood. Video games played a pivotal role during my youth and helped shape my perspective of imaginary and visual escape. With this collaboration, I was able to reimagine the feeling of excitement and nostalgia that fans experience when they navigate the various levels and challenges that Sonic games provide. Sonic’s adventures create memorable moments that become important to the franchise and further Sonic’s purpose, which affect us all.
