We really enjoyed ourselves with RoadCraft, putting in over 150 hours rebuilding for our review. The team at Saber have been busy since launch and they're finally ready for the first DLC. Entitled "The Rebuild Expansion", this update brings a brand new region, new vehicles, two more maps, and much more. Let's pop on our hard hat and find out what lies ahead:

Contamination: Bring life back to a region devastated by seismic activity, cleansing it of hazardous chemical waste

Wash-Out: Relaunch a massive oil processing unit at the heart of a reclaimed wasteland

[This expansion] also brings five new vehicles to further harness RoadCraft’s next-gen physics-driven sandbox. The Bridge Layer lets you deploy bridges on demand, forging new paths through impossible terrain. And new scout variants, from the rust-scarred Tuz 119 "Mutt" to the “Expedition” Armiger Thunder, offer new ways to tackle your toughest missions.

Speaking of missions, this expansion brings 100 of them. You read that right – that's 100 new objectives to tackle to put these maps back in order. Granted, I'm sure some of them are as simple as "deliver some pipes from here to there" but missions just the same. Personally, I'm most excited about the new vehicles:

I can think of at least a dozen times I needed a simple bridge layer! It'll be fun to revisit some older maps that likely will get a whole lot easier if you happen to have this vehicle in your fleet.

This expansion also gives us a new "Advanced" difficulty option, tightening the rules around fuel use, stricter recovery rules, a tighter economy, and more. If you like your disaster recovery in "hard mode", this should do the trick.

The Rebuild Expansion is available today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC $14.99. It's also free for owners of RoadCraft – Rebuild Edition.
