Former Sony Santa Monica developer, now leading CAGE Studios, has released a trailer for their upcoming fast-paced rougelite boomer shooter Gunstoppable, in which players will dish out swift destruction against warmongering elites and deal out crazy amounts of damage thanks to momentum-based combat.

Los Angeles, CA - June 4, 2025 - Gunstoppable, the fast-paced roguelite boomer shooter from developer CAGE Studios, debuted its time-bending world premiere gameplay trailer during the Shacknews E4 Indie Showcase.

They killed his family. They burned his city. All in the name of endless, pointless war. This nameless, elite soldier will turn the tables on the warmongering elites who made him into a killing machine. Can he break the cycle of endless violence…and save his sister in the process?
Deal a double dose of destruction while dual-wielding vicious weapon combos. Combine handguns, crossbows, rocket launchers, and katanas with modifiers to unleash further carnage. Convert pistols into flamethrowers or rocket launchers into nukes with slot attachments. Slot in attachments on a hex grid to alter weaponry on the fly and discover deadly synergies.

Dodge a constant barrage of enemy projectiles with deft movement. Chain together dashes, slides, wallruns, railgrinds, and grapple hook swings to build inertia, then unleash increased firepower while in motion for furious damage — move fast, hit hard, and survive in style. Pause time, wreak havoc, then unpause time with Reaper Mode to shatter clusters of foes in a single moment.

Every death builds upon the last, earning permanent upgrades at the end of each run. Strategize and weave creative chaos by combining elements, attachments, and movement buffs. Dig through twisted memories surrounding the protagonist’s past, and destroy the architects of neverending brutality in a blood-curdling odyssey to settle the score.
Gunstoppable is a perfect blend of what I look for in fast-paced roguelites,” said Salaar Kohari. “I like my games to feel fast, stylish, and improvisational, and I know I’m not alone. Gunstoppable scratches an itch I believe many FPS players have right now, and I look forward to seeing their reactions to the expressive systems we’ve built.”

Gunstoppable is now in development for PC via Steam with language support in english. For more information and the latest updates, follow CAGE Studios on TikTok, X, and Instagram.
