Rev your engines, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds comes to Switch 2 digitally next month

Today, SEGA announced that the highly anticipated Switch 2 version of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will release on the Nintendo eShop December 4th.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available digitally for players at $69.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack will also be available for $10.00 USD for owners of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Nintendo Switch 2, with content and progress able to transfer over via the upgrade. 

Beginning Thursday, December 4, 2025 until Thursday, December 11, 2025, there will be an introductory discount for the Upgrade Pack, priced at $5.00 USD.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch digitally Thursday, December 4, 2025, and physically early 2026. For more details, please see below: 
  • Pricing
    • Digital Standard – $69.99 USD 
  • Release Date
    • Digital Standard – Thursday, December 4, 2025
    • Physical Standard – Early 2026 
      • The physical version will feature the full base game on the cartridge. 
  • Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack
    • There is a $10.00 USD paid upgrade path for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch-OLED Model, and Nintendo Switch Lite users. 
      • Beginning at 5:00 PM PT on December 3, 2025 until 5:00 PM PT on December 10, 2025, there will be an introductory discount for the Upgrade Pack, priced at $5.00 USD.
      • With the paid upgrade, content and progress will carry over to Nintendo Switch 2.
