QuasiReal Publishing announces Start the Fire: A Digital TTRPG Anthology

The tabletop industry has been plunged into uncertainly this year with increased tariffs and uncertainty. QuasiReal Publishing has a new project on BackerKit directly aimed at dealing with the economic uncertainty:

QuasiReal Publishing is proud to announce the launch of Start the Fire: A Digital TTRPG Anthology, a collection of digital-only tabletop roleplaying games created in response to the growing tariff challenges faced by many creators in the tabletop gaming world. The anthology includes solo games, adventures, zines, short stories, and new mechanics designed to be compatible with D&D5e, MythCraft TTRPG, or played independently.

Addressing the Tariff Crisis in Tabletop Gaming

Tariffs, and more importantly, the uncertainty surrounding tariffs, have created a major challenge for tabletop game creators, leading some to pause plans, increase prices, or abandon their projects. QuasiReal Publishing is going to attempt to survive these tariffs and ease the unnecessary burden by releasing an all-digital TTRPG anthology that avoids shipping and import taxes altogether.

Start the Fire brings together a talented group of (pissed off) writers and artists to create engaging content that is accessible digitally with no shipping costs, delays, or taxes—just high-quality content for tabletop fans.

What’s Inside the Anthology

The 12-chapter anthology features a variety of content, including:

Print & Play

Each piece will come with a corresponding, barebones, print-at-home PDF, allowing players to print and enjoy a simple, ink-friendly version of each game.

MythCraft TTRPG Core Rulebook PDF

Every backer will receive a free MythCraft TTRPG Core Rulebook PDF (Value $30), so they can play any of the MythCraft content.

Wallet Friendly

Prices will start at $5 per episode or $50 for the entire anthology.
