Games Workshop has officially revealed Perturabo's Daemon Primarch form in the newest rulebook for Warhammer 40K. Ahead of the upcoming Eye of Terror rulebook release this weekend, Games Workshop revealed a new piece of art showing the mechanical behemoth that is Perturabo's Daemon Primarch form for the very first time. The artwork depicts Perturabo towering over a battleforce of Iron Warriors wearing a massive mech-suit adorned with arms carrying various kinds of weaponry. While Daemon Primarchs typically transform into monstrous demons, Perturabo wears a knight-like helmet over his face so the full extent of his transformation is unclear....other than the fact that he's easily fifty feet tall in the artwork.
The fallen Primarch's grand plan for the Imperium was also revealed, with Perturabo sending out forces from the Eye of Terror to start work on his Infinite Citadel, a galaxy-spanning fortification that will slowly make its way to Terra.
Although Perturabo technically hasn't emerged from the Eye of Terror yet, the reveal of official artwork certainly lends credence to rumors that he'll be the next Daemon Primarch to officially receive a miniature and official Warhammer 40K rules. To date, four Daemon Primarchs have received Warhammer 40K miniatures along with two Primarchs aligned with the Imperium.
Of course, if Perturabo is coming to Warhammer 40K, than his old rival Rogal Dorn surely can't be too far behind. Dorn has been missing for millennia in Warhammer 40K lore, presumed dead after a disastrous excursion during the Scouring. However, only Dorn's hand was found in canon (although a now non-canon Warhammer 40K novel claimed that the Imperial Fists had the full remains for Dorn) so he could always make a grand return to save the Imperium, similar to how his brothers Roboute Guilliman and Lion El'Jonson came back to life in previous Warhammer 40K editions.
