New Overwatch hero, Sierra, gives Emre the business

Blizzard unveiled the hero trailer for Sierra, the sixth character to be released out of the 10 coming during the first year of the Overwatch semi-reboot.

Sierra is a DPS with confidence, a gun, and lots of mobility.

She pulled off some of her tricks against Emre, who was caught infiltrating Watchpoint: Grand Mesa and stealing an important locked case.

We see Sierra accompanied by what appears to be a mechanical recon bird scouting the area for threats. She also uses a whip to connect to the bird to help reach the bridge. From there, she engages Emre while holding on to her whip, firing glowing blue automatic rounds from a gun that looks like a different model of Sojourn's. When she lands, she takes aim and fires a sharp purple dart that sticks into the Talon operative. Emre's reaction is to pull out his Siphon Blaster, possibly suggesting Sierra's dart does damage over time. Or he just wanted to use that gun for some reason.

Sierra then rolls off the bridge and uses her whip to attach to her bird, fly under the bridge, and drop behind Emre, kicking him in the face. Emre hides behind cover while Sierra continues shooting a mix of blue and purple ammo. Emre realizes the dart is still stuck in him, and to Emre's surprise, some of Sierra's shots rise into the sky and strike him while he's behind cover, then explode after enough rounds hit him, suggesting Sierra's shots followed the dart.

Then Emre ults, as players do when they're getting clapped by one person.

Blizzard gave no indication that there would be a preview period for Sierra before she arrives. We'll have to wait until the start of the next season.

Sierra will be available when Season 2: Summit launches on April 14.
