NASCAR, Pilot Company, and the Call of Duty Endowment team up to honor veterans

The past two weekends a NASCAR Xfinity Series car has raced adorned with images of veterans who have found employment through the Call of Duty Endowment program. The program, along with NASCAR and Pilot Company, wanted to find a way to honor those who have served and sacrificed. Read below for more details:

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Americans owe a lot to our veterans, and Pilot Company is proud to honor them with a special paint scheme for the NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Martinsville and Phoenix on the No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet driven by Michael Annett.

Teaming up with the Call of Duty Endowment, which helps veterans obtain high-quality jobs, Annett’s Pilot Flying J Chevrolet will honor those who have served and sacrificed so much for our freedoms in the Oct. 30 event at Virginia’s Martinsville Speedway and the season finale set for Nov. 6 at Phoenix Raceway.

The car, carrying the stylized No. 1 amid a rampant star in darker green, features a military-green base paint on the hood and side panels, with photos of veterans who have secured employment with the help of the Endowment—and several Pilot Company team members who are veterans, including Pilot founder Jim Haslam II, a Korean war veteran –making up a desert camouflage effect on the roof and deck lid. Pilot and Flying J logos adorn the rear fenders, along with TMC Transportation, and the hood has Operation Hire Vets in white. The Call of Duty Endowment logo rides the rear decklid.

Since 2019, Pilot Company has contributed more than $500,000 to the Call of Duty Endowment, which has enabled more than 1,300 veterans to find meaningful careers. That is more than two battalion-sized elements made of up veterans.

Beginning on Oct. 25 and running through Nov. 15, Pilot Company will hold an in-store “round-up” campaign at Pilot Flying J Travel Centers to help support the Endowment’s mission. On Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day, all active-duty and retired military veterans can enjoy a free meal up to $10 at participating Pilot Flying J Travel Centers using the myRewards Plus^TM app as an authenticated ID.me military member.
