It's been an absolutely incredible run, but this could be Ethan Hunt's final mission. Today we got the announcement that Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is finally headed to digital next month on August 19th, with the physical disk variants following in October. If you're just catching up with what's being heralded as "the biggest and wildest Mission yet" here's a quick synopsis:

Hunt and the IMF pursue a dangerous AI called the Entity that's infiltrated global intelligence. With governments and a figure from his past in pursuit, Hunt races to stop it from forever changing the world.

Given the rise of AI in our own lives in the real world, it's easy to imagine one spiraling out of control. That makes the premise all the more terrifying. Backed by the absolutely insane stunt work of Tom Cruz and his team, this movie was an absolute rollercoaster.

Pick up the movie on digital and you'll get a few goodies – it's not just exclusive to the physical media. Let's get into the goodies:

ISOLATED SCORE TRACK

That's quite the list of goodies! I've seen one or two in the run up to the film's theatrical release, and frankly they don't even do the stunt justice. It's crazy just how much work the team puts into what can amount to a 15-30 second stunt, comprised of dozens of people's work over hundreds of hours. You can't argue the mastery of their craft.

The movie did reasonably well in theaters, netting roughly 589 million worldwide ahead of the digital release, though it's also been said to be one of the most expensive movies made of all time. Combined, the franchise has cleared 4.73 BILLION dollars, so it seems like the IMF is well-funded.
