News
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is one of my favorite games of the year, so I am thrilled to bring you the latest news. Be sure to check out our review for Jurassic World Evolution 3 and get ready for some juicy updates.
Wetlands Pack is coming December 6!
Alright, time to talk about some new dinosaurs! This pack will feature three new family units, bayou and swamp-inspired scenery, and waterside environments to build and design.
Irritator

Introducing the Irritator - This fierce semi-aquatic spinosaurid from the early Cretaceous period is ideal for your waterside enclosures. With a sleek triangular head and sharp teeth, this versatile carnivore will find fish in deep water and hunt dinosaurs on land.
Appearing with a full family unit, the Irritator has distinct dimorphic patterns and rich colours to unveil to your guests.
Austroraptor

Introducing the Austroraptor - Often seen skulking around fish feeders, this feathered carnivore from the late Cretaceous is a larger relative of the Velociraptor.
With jaws adapted for catching fish, they will perfectly complete your new Wetlands enclosures.
The last species hasn’t been revealed yet, but there is still more to look forward to. This update launches alongside the 1.2 update, which I have detailed below.
Update 1.2
Cypress Swamp Brush

Landing in Update 1.2 is the new Environment brush for Tropical and Temperate biomes, the Cypress Swamp Brush.
This brush paints Cypress Trees into your parks & enclosures, introducing a murky mist; fantastic for your dinosaur photography! Also included will be a selection of Cypress Trees as scenery pieces so players can go in and decorate their park environments precisely.
Island Generator
We are happy to announce some exciting updates to the Island Generator.
Alongside the Tropical biome, players will now have more biomes to pick from including:
- Temperate
- Desert
- Mediterranean
A new slider will be added to Island Generator mode allowing players to adjust the prominence of beaches on their islands. A generated island will now feature more cliffs or more beaches depending on your preference for greater customisability.
That’s not all! Players will be able to edit terrain or place buildings right up to the water's edge of their generated island. They will also be able to place scenery anywhere on the map to create some unique waterfronts!
User Experience Changes
- A new Blueprints menu has been added so all custom and downloaded blueprints are viewable in one place.
- New ‘Copy Path Style’ option allows players to quickly match the style and colours of an existing path.
- An ‘Obstructions’ heatmap will be added showing exactly where small, medium and large dinosaurs, as well as guests and vehicles can move around your parks. Plus, it will viewable during terrain edits allowing players to see the immediate impact of their changes.
- Further performance improvements and increase to the impact of the Complexity Meter's ‘Override Performance Limits’ setting on consoles.
Alongside the above updates, 1.2 includes a whole host of bug fixes and stability improvements. Read the full update notes when Update 1.2 goes live on all platforms on 9 December.
Plus, in case you missed it... there will be a fan favourite species returning with the update, free of charge. Keep an eye out for more information on 8 December!
