HITMAN World of Assassination, if you are unfamiliar, is essentially the ultimate collection of all three of the most recent Hitman games, their expansion targets, and all of the side goodies, all rolled into one. It's the very best way to play the series, and frankly it's one of those games that never leaves my install folder. Well...now there's a completely new way to play – Agent 47 has arrived on PlayStation VR2.

HITMAN World of Assassination is a celebration of the legendary stealth franchise that incorporates the very best from HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2, and HITMAN 3. Now, the series’ hallmark emergent gameplay and endless replayability are delivered in its most immersive medium yet with PS VR2.

VR fans and series veterans alike will take on Agent 47’s legendary adventures using a lineup of VR-specific features. Players can dual-wield more than 100 different weapons and use both hands independently to reload, holster, aim, and steal disguises. Full ambidexterity paired with intuitive motion controls allows VR operatives to express their creativity even further as they silence alarms or pick locks with one hand and dispatch threats with the other. This edition also features adaptive triggers, room-scale implementation, and spatial touch interactions through the PS VR2 Sense controllers.

The PS VR2 release supports the original main campaign’s 22 unique locations. Memorable global locales such as the raucous Club Hölle in Berlin, the sophisticated fashion show in Paris, the bustling racing event in Miami, and many more are sandboxes for budding assassins to master on repeat playthroughs. Players must learn the movement patterns of enemies and targets alike, as well as how to make the most of each weapon or costume hidden throughout every environment. For those looking for an immediate challenge, the Elusive Target The Drop featuring Superstar DJ Dimitri Vegas is currently running until April 6th and is available on PS VR2 right now.

If your complaint is that VR games don't have any length, this breaks that rule. There are literally hundreds of possibilities to make your perfect assassination look like a perfect accident. From thwacking somebody with a rock from a lawnmower to setting up some sort of Rube Goldberg-esque machine that ends up taking out three targets at the same time with mysterious "accidents", the Hitman series is all about being as lethal as you are invisible.

This enhanced PSVR2 of HITMAN takes all of that and now makes it fully interactive from a first-person perspective. That means physically throwing your knives, manually reloading, squeezing the rubber ducky, whatever you need to do to achieve your mission.

Best of all, if you already own the game on PlayStation 5, I've got some great news for you.

Players who already own HITMAN World of Assassination on PlayStation 5 can access an upgrade pack to the PS VR2 content, the HITMAN World of Assassination - VR Access, for $9.99, €9.99, or £8.99. New agents can access the PlayStation VR2 version through HITMAN WOA Part One – VR2 Edition, giving access to HITMAN Part One and the PS VR2 Upgrade Pack for $39,99, €39,99, or £32.99.

We'll be working on a review shortly, so stay tuned – some folks are about to have some very unhappy accidents, and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

HITMAN World of Assassination is out for PSVR2 by the time you read this message. Enjoy!
