The Black Ops 7 Beta takes place Oct. 2–8, with more maps and modes being introduced throughout the play period. Keep this Blog page bookmarked for all the intel on additional maps, modes, and progression releasing throughout the Beta.

Stay up to date on all the latest information — updated by Treyarch — during the Black Ops 7 Beta and beyond by visiting the Call of Duty Patch Notes page. Be sure to follow CODUpdates and Treyarch on X for additional, timely intel.

Training and Brief

Training Course
Learn the basics, including the updated Omnimovement and firing systems as well as other Black Ops 7 combat innovations in the Training Course on the Multiplayer Map The Forge. Found alongside the other Beta modes, the training course is available, and the skills learned here should get you trained up and ready to take on the competition. It’s recommended to start your Multiplayer journey here whether you’re a new or returning player. Get down the fundamentals and dominate the opposition.

Zombies Survival Training
To learn the basics about Zombies and prepare for getting into Survival on Vandorn Farm, be sure to check out the Zombies Intel Blast and eliminate the zombie hordes. This Survival Map takes place on a small piece of the full Ashes of the Damned experience and allows players to explore a taste of the features that Black Ops 7 Zombies has to offer. Get a glimpse of what you will see on November 14 and how the weapons, Perks, Ammo Mods, Equipment, and Field Upgrades all feel against the shambling undead.

Survival Mode: Basic Training
In Survival, you (and optionally your teammates) venture within the perimeter of a map — in this case, the farmstead — and hold out for as long as possible. There are fewer places to run, Ol’ Tessie is out of commission, and tactical positioning is the key to keeping the undead forces at bay.
  • Once the power to the farm has been restored, you have a focused plan: to survive for as long as possible, but with little chance of escape!
  • Any accessible caches and machines available in Standard Mode appear in an identical location in Survival Mode.
  • Any other interactive Crafting Tables, Wall Buys, or machines not in the Standard Mode area of the map are moved into the Survival map, allowing you to be fully tooled up, provided you’ve got the necessary Essence and Salvage.
    •     For example, in Standard Mode, Vandorn Farm doesn’t have a Pack-a-Punch or Der Wunderfizz     machine, so both are dropped into the Survival Mode map.
In Survival, your options are clear: fight for as many Rounds as you can, judging the best time to flee via Exfil before you're overwhelmed by the dead!

For more information and a complete map guide to Vandorn Farm Survival, keep reading this blog!

GobbleGums
Here’s something to chew on: A special selection of Beta-only GobbleGums will be available to use during the Zombies Survival portion of the Beta, which begins on October 3 and will be available for a limited time. The GobbleGums that are accessible to players during this time will not affect GobbleGum inventories outside of the Beta. They are complimentary and given to players only for the duration of the Beta (so use them or lose them at the end of the Beta!), for the purposes of trying them out in Zombies Survival and getting a feel for what they can do in this mode.

To learn more about what each GobbleGum does, refer back to the GobbleGums guide for further details. Here are the GobbleGums available during the beta period:
