Hachette announces Architects of Amytis a worker placement game with tic-tac-toe

Hachette Boargames announced Architects of Amytis, a new two-player worker placement game with tic-tac-toe as a mechanism:

Jeremy Ducret and Romaric Galonnier, along with the La Boite de Jeu team introduce Architects of Amytis — a two-player game with simple rules and strategic depths.

In Architects of Amytis, you are tasked by the King of Babylon to create an extraordinary city for Queen Amytis. This strategic board game combines tile placement, worker placement, and elements of Tic Tac Toe.

Players select tiles that depict different buildings and colors, placing them on their board to either expand or build upwards. Strategic placement of Architect Pawns is crucial for aligning three in a row, earning the King’s Favor and additional points at game’s end. Each building type provides dual scoring options, allowing for varied gameplay and strategies! Engage in this architectural contest to see who can design the most stunning city and win the royal honor!

Fantastic combination of tile and worker placement with strategic alignment scoring.
Dual scoring for buildings offers varied strategic approaches.
Rich replayability through diverse strategies.
