After tons of leaks, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has finally been officially announced by Rockstar Games.
The trilogy will include Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The games will have “across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals,” according to Rockstar Games’ Newswire blog.
The games will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year, though a definite release date does not exist. The definitive edition will also be coming to iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.
Existing versions of the titles included in the trilogy will be removed from digital storefronts during the week of October 11.
Also, as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of GTA, GTA Online will have lots of special commemorative clothing and gear to collect in the coming months.
