Today, Capcom released the latest entry in the Monster Hunter Stories spinoff series, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The game is available now on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Set two centuries after the Rift War, the kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil stand divided. Twin Rathalos unexpectedly hatch from a single egg, igniting a story of forbidden lands and twisted destinies. A mysterious Crystal Encroachment emerges, threatening ecosystems and habitats across the land and causing conflicts between monsters. Along the journey, players will meet companions including vice-captain Gaul, monster expert Ogden, Ranger Squad co-founder Kora, the protagonist’s best friend and confidante Simon, the brand-new member of the Rangers Thea, and Eleanor the Princess of Vermeil. As the protagonist, players take on the role of Prince/Princess of Azuria, and captain of the Ranger Squad to protect endangered eggs, restore ecosystems, and confront powerful monsters. Players can also customize their protagonist’s appearance to fully step into the roles.
Strategic Combat and Mechanics
In Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, players engage in turn-based battles built around a rock-paper-scissor system, where attack types such as Power, Speed, and Technical counter one another for tactical advantage. The new system, Synchro Rush, allows the full party to join forces for a massive, coordinated attack.

In addition, Habitat Restoration allows players to release monsters into the wild to protect endangered species and influence an area’s Ecosystem Rank, which affects egg availability, monster traits, and elemental attributes. There are even rare Monsters that can be hatched from eggs obtained in the living ecosystem shaped by player actions.

Players can also explore the vast world of Monster Hunter Stories 3 by using Riding Actions, including climbing, gliding, and flying on the backs of Monsties to reach new locations, uncover hidden items, and traverse freely through vast, three-dimensional terrain.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is available now physically and digitally via the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam for MSRP $69.99. A Deluxe Edition ($89.99) and Premium Deluxe Edition ($99.99) are also available for players wanting to expand their adventure. The Deluxe Edition includes the Deluxe Kit, featuring the “Additional Side Story: Rudy” and the Special Outfit Set. The Premium Deluxe Edition contains all Deluxe Edition content alongside an additional cosmetic DLC pack with extra companion layered armor, hairstyles, and outfits. Additionally, those who have played the demo will be able to transfer the save data to the full game.
