- Cross-Gen Bundle (Digital Only)
- Standard Edition (PC)
- Select Game Pass Plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, Game Pass Console)
Getting by on his street smarts and razor-sharp instincts, Woods has always depended on only himself for survival. After enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps, Woods gained an extensive amount of fighting experience throughout the Korean War, and afterwards became a sergeant in the MACV-SOG during his time in Vietnam. One can only imagine the reputation he earned in combat, that eventually led to him being selected to join the CIA’s Special Activities Division.
Woods is fond of pointing out that you can’t kill him. To date, though many have tried – no one has been able to prove him wrong.
Now you can instantly unlock the Woods Operator Pack by pre-ordering or pre-purchasing any Digital or Vault Edition of Black Ops 6 or via select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, Game Pass Console).
- Instantly receive the “Classic Woods” Skin. This Skin can be used immediately in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III, Call of Duty: Warzone™ and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
- Unlock the “Zombie Woods” Skin, and the “Numbers Woods” Animated Skin by completing a Challenge for each Skin, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III, Call of Duty: Warzone™.
- If you don’t have access to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare® III, Call of Duty: Warzone™, stay tuned for more on how to unlock.
Woods Operator Pack to arrive in Black Ops 6: We’re excited to confirm that the Woods Operator Pack will also be accessible in Black Ops 6 at launch. For more information on Carry Forward content between games, see later in this blog.
Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack (Vault Edition Benefit)
Availability: Open Beta (BO6), Game Launch (BO6), Vault Edition Upgrade
Purchase or upgrade to the Vault Edition, and four infamous Operators from the Black Ops and Zombies universes are yours to own, each clad in their own impressive (and animated) Operator Skin.
Rogue Black Ops Operator Skins
Operator Park (“Oblivion” Skin): Exiting Oxford University to study para-military organizations, MI6 operative Helen Park is a methodical, ad hoc Black Ops team member. Now fully recovered from wounds sustained in an RPG attack, during a redacted operation in Havana, she is fit for duty and ready to rejoin the squad.
Operator Adler (“Umbra” Skin): Russell Adler was once the leader of a covert Strike team of CIA Operatives and was dubbed ‘America’s Monster.’ Neither his current intentions, or whereabouts, are known.
Zombies Operator Skins
Operator Brutus (“Warden of Alcatraz” Skin): Last encountered in Black Ops 4’s Blood of the Dead, the Warden of Alcatraz is reborn again as a Black Ops 6 Operator. Reanimated by otherworldly forces, this custodian of Hell’s most evil inmates will not – and cannot – rest until his charges have been safely returned to their cells. With electricity arcing across his heavily armored bulk, his hunt begins…
Operator Klaus (“Reborn” Skin): Elizabeth Grey’s automaton will assure you that it is just there to help, but there is something deeply unsettling in its bearing. It could be the number of prior murderous killing sprees, masked by its enthusiasm – or simply that it seems unable to grasp exactly how fragile humans can be. Expect Klaus to be switched on at launch.
Vault Edition owners can expect to use any of these Operator Skins during the Black Ops 6 Open Beta, later this year.
Mastercraft Weapon Collection (Vault Edition Benefit)
Availability: Open Beta (BO6), Game Launch (BO6), Vault Edition Upgrade
Purchase or upgrade to the Vault Edition and unlock an exciting collection of five Mastercraft weapons. Flex your Loadout and gain much more than an instant arsenal at launch, as these “Ultra” level weapon variants are as unique as they are potent! Here’s what you’ll receive:
- The “Plague Doctor” Blueprint for the AMES 85 (Assault Rifle).
- The “Mind’s Eye” Blueprint for the Combat Knife (Melee).
- The “Scourge” Blueprint for the Jackal PDW (Submachine Gun).
- The “Brainstorm” Blueprint for the LR 7.62 (Sniper Rifle).
- The “Unrepentant” Blueprint for the Marine SP (Shotgun).
A level of rarity above even “Legendary,” these special cosmetic blueprints are absolute works of art, hand-crafted by Treyarch’s finest weaponsmiths. Expect each weapon in the Mastercraft Collection to be a unique, animated, one-of-a-kind visually stunning design added to an already impressive five-attachment Weapon Blueprint.
GobbleGum Pack (Vault Edition Benefit)
Availability: Game Launch (BO6), Vault Edition Upgrade
GobbleGums return to Zombies in Black Ops 6, and they’re more delicious than ever! GobbleGums are everyone’s favorite jaw-breaking confectionary power-up and were last available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. These earnable treats are a special consumable item that provide unique effects to players. Purchase or upgrade to the Vault Edition to unlock the GobbleGum Pack. This consists of 12 single-use GobbleGums offering unique in-game effects!
Expect these GobbleGums to be packed with amazing (and sometimes surreal) powers, accessible immediately at launch.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 Black Cell (***)
Availability: Black Ops 6 Season 1, Vault Edition Upgrade
Purchase or upgrade to the Vault Edition, and you’ll receive the Season 1 BlackCell offering, jam packed with exclusive content and one-of-a kind cosmetics. This impressive content drop includes the following:

Black Ops 6: Digital Editions
Console Cross-Gen Bundle and PC Standard Edition
The Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms all have Digital Editions of Black Ops 6, and these include the full game as well as the following preorder benefits for $69.99 U.S. (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent:
- Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)

Cross-Gen Functionality and Flexibility (Console Editions)
Xbox and PlayStation players with both previous and current generation consoles who purchase the Digital Edition of Black Ops 6 will find it is a Console Cross-Gen Bundle, offering flexibility in the way you want to play:
Pre-purchase or preorder any Cross Gen Digital Edition — or Vault Edition — for your preferred console, and you’ll have access to Black Ops 6 for the current generation (Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5), as well as the previous generation of console (Xbox One or PlayStation 4).
Remember to download your preferred version of the game! For players using an Xbox Series X|S or a PlayStation 5, when the game becomes available to play, make sure you download the correct (current generation) version of the game, rather than the previous generation version, as both may be available to download in the Cross-Gen Bundle.
Game Pass Subscription: For players using an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console, you also have the option to start a Game Pass subscription and access Black Ops 6 while you’re actively subscribed to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass Console). For more information, consult the Game Pass section of this blog (below).
PC Editions
For players using a PC, here’s the plan:
- PC Editions: There are two different editions of Black Ops 6 to pre-purchase; the Full Standard Edition or the Vault Edition.
- PC Platforms: There are now three different locations where you can pre-purchase Black Ops 6: the Microsoft Store, Battle.net®, and Steam.
Game Pass Subscribers: For players using the Xbox App on their PC with access to the Microsoft Store, you also have the option to start a Game Pass subscription and access Black Ops 6 while you’re actively subscribed to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC).
Vault Edition Upgrade (from Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on Console or Standard Edition on PC)
If you preorder or pre-purchase the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on Console or the Standard Edition on PC of Black Ops 6, or you are subscribed to select Game Pass Plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console), you can upgrade to the Vault Edition if the upgrade is on the same platform where you initially purchased. For example, if you pre-purchase the Battle.net Standard Edition, you can upgrade to the Battle.net Vault Edition at any time until the upgrade offer expires. The upgrade method varies depending on your platform:
Xbox: Upgrade directly through the Call of Duty in-game store or the platform store where you purchased the Cross-Gen Digital Edition, for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent
PlayStation: Upgrade directly through the Call of Duty in-game store or the platform store where you purchased the Cross-Gen Digital Edition, for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent.
PC Microsoft Store: Upgrade directly through the Call of Duty in-game store or the platform store where you purchased the Standard Edition, for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent
Battle.net: Upgrade directly through the Call of Duty in-game store or the platform store where you purchased the Standard Edition, for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent.
Steam: Upgrade directly through the Call of Duty in-game store or the platform store where you purchased the Standard Edition, for $30 (Suggested Retail Price) or your regional equivalent.

Black Ops 6: Access via Game Pass Subscription (****)
Available on:
- Xbox Series X|S
- Xbox One
- PC (Microsoft Store)
Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC will be able to access Black Ops 6 at launch (October 25) if they are actively subscribed to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, Game Pass Console). Furthermore, this includes the same preorder benefits as well!
Below are explanations of what Game Pass offers (for the uninitiated), as well as what Black Ops 6 edition each plan of Game Pass grants you access to, along with information on upgrading to the Vault Edition, which offers exceptional added value.
What is Game Pass?
Available to every Xbox and PC player with a Microsoft account, Game Pass is a monthly subscription service that allows you to play new games, as well as allowing you to enjoy hundreds of high-quality games with friends on Console and PC. With games added all the time, there’s always something new to play.
And now, active subscribers to select Game Pass plans can enjoy the same preorder benefits, and same-day game access as those who preorder the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on Console or pre-purchase the Standard Edition on PC.
For more information on Game Pass, and to sign up for a plan, click here.
Game Pass Plans and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
There are four Game Pass plans you can subscribe to. Here are the Black Ops 6 game elements you can access:
- Game Pass Ultimate: This offers the most flexibility as it allows you to play the Black Ops 6 Campaign as well as the Multiplayer and Zombies online modes on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One consoles, and on PC. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on Xbox consoles and the Standard Edition on PC Microsoft Store.
- Game Pass PC: Play the Black Ops 6 Campaign as well as Multiplayer and Zombies online modes on your PC. Game Pass PC subscribers will have access to the Standard Edition on PC Microsoft Store.
- Game Pass Console: Play the Black Ops 6 Campaign only on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One consoles. Online console multiplayer access (sold separately) is required to play the Multiplayer and Zombies online modes on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One consoles. Game Pass Console subscribers would need to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate or additionally subscribe to Game Pass Core (sold separately) to access these modes. Game Pass Console subscribers will have access to the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on Xbox consoles.
- Game Pass Core: Game Pass Core includes online console multiplayer access, which is required to play Black Ops 6 online modes (Multiplayer and Zombies) on Xbox consoles, but does not qualify you to access the full game. Also note that all of the benefits of Game Pass Core are included in the Game Pass Ultimate plan.
If you are subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console before Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, you can also gain access to the following preorder benefits:
- Woods Operator Pack (Preorder Benefit)
- Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)
To access the Woods Operator Pack, subscribers to the three Game Pass plans noted above must log into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III or Call of Duty: Warzone on the platform where they are an active Game Pass subscriber at some point before October 25th and continue maintaining an active Game Pass subscription to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console. Once granted, subscribers to these plans can immediately use Classic Woods in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III or Call of Duty: Warzone by accessing him in the Operator Menu and will have the ability to unlock the “Zombie Woods” and “Numbers Woods” skins.
For Open Beta Early Access, Game Pass subscribers to the three plans noted above should look out for communications in the future around Open Beta dates. Active subscribers to these plans will be able to play the Open Beta during its Early Access window (Game Pass Console subscribers may need to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate or additionally subscribe to Game Pass Core, sold separately, to play online Open Beta content).
If you aren’t a Game Pass Subscriber, you can start a subscription to an eligible Game Pass plan (Ultimate, PC, or Console) before October 25th and follow the instructions above to gain access to preorder benefits.
Game Pass Subscribers: Open Beta and Launch Plans:
Xbox: Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass Console subscribers can download the Open Beta during its Early Access window, and the full game at launch, from your Xbox console. Game Pass Console subscribers will need to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate or additionally subscribe to Game Pass Core (sold separately) to play online content.
PC: Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC subscribers can download the Open Beta during its Early Access window, and the full game at launch, from the PC Microsoft Store.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta dates will be announced at a later time.
Game Pass: Vault Edition Upgrade
As a Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console subscriber, you also have the option to upgrade to the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition of the game for $30 U.S. or your regional equivalent (Suggested Retail Price). The Vault Edition upgrade gives players access to all Vault Edition benefits previously detailed in this Blog:
- Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack
- Mastercraft Weapon Collection
- GobbleGum Pack
- Black Ops 6 Season 1 Black Cell
Game Pass Unsubscribing and Black Ops 6 Access
If you subsequently unsubscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console without having purchased Black Ops 6, you will lose access to the title, but you can regain access by purchasing Black Ops 6 outright or resubscribing to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console.
Black Ops 6: Physical Console Editions
Available Editions:
- Cross-Gen Bundle (Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)
- PlayStation 5 (Physical Edition)

- Xbox Series X and Xbox One: Physical Cross-Gen Bundle (includes Xbox Series X and Xbox One versions).
- PlayStation 4: Physical Cross-Gen Bundle (includes PlayStation 5 next-generation version).
- PlayStation 5: Physical Edition (does not include PlayStation 4 version of Black Ops 6).
There are no Physical Editions available for the PC platform.
Carry Forward Content & Black Ops 6
We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Allowing everyone to experience the Black Ops universe the way it’s meant to be played, learning the era-specific weapons and gear, learning the gameplay innovations like Omnimovement, and keeping that signature Black Ops style is important.
Therefore, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III content will not carry forward to the Black Ops 6 Premium experience.
The one exception is the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Woods Operator Pack preorder benefit. It is currently available in Modern Warfare III and will carry forward into Black Ops 6.
Carry Forward content for players of Call of Duty: Warzone will continue, with Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Black Ops 6 content being integrated with the arrival of Season 1.
