The Resident Evil franchise is one of my favorites ever and is, for sure, my favorite horror franchise to this day. So to say that I am excited for this installment is an understatement. But Resident Evil Requiem is not the only game I discuss in this article because Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7 are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2!
Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem is coming out on 2/27/26, so in just a few days! It is releasing for Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Epic Games Store.
Here is what you get with the deluxe edition:

You get the following costumes and skins: Leon's Costume: Film Noir, Leon's Costume: RE4, Leon's Costume: Apocalypse, Grace's Costume: Dimitrescu, Grace's Costume: Film Noir, S&S M232 Weapon Skin: Apocalypse, S&S M232 Weapon Skin: Film Noir, Requiem Weapon Skin: Apocalypse, and Requiem Weapon Skin: Film Noir.
You also get two screen filters: Screen Filter: Apocalypse and Screen Filter: Film Noir.
Finally, you get the Mr. Raccoon Charm, DSO Emblem Charm, Audio Pack: Raccoon City Classic, and the Files: Letters from 1998. Plus, a great skin for Grace.
Everything that we know...
A new era of survival horror arrives with Resident Evil Requiem, the latest and most immersive entry yet in the iconic Resident Evil series. Experience terrifying survival horror with FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, and dive into pulse-pounding action with legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Both of their journeys and unique gameplay styles intertwine into a heart-stopping, emotional experience that will chill you to your core.

Resident Evil Requiem will feature two playable characters that offer two different gameplay experiences. Grace has you playing in first-person, where every step counts. Leon, on the other hand, has you playing in third-person. Grace looks to have the more intense part of the story, at least horror-wise.
Grace is limited by the supplies she can obtain and carry.
Analyzing enemies to determine when to fight or flee is the key to life or death.

Leon is packing heat. Not only will he have firearms, but he will also have a melee weapon and will even be able to use enemy weapons. Which makes me think that the "people" we are fighting this time will be tough to take down. His gameplay is sure to feature some amazing animation work.
Along with an array of firearms and his trusty hatchet, Leon can also fight using melee attacks, parries, and even enemy weapons.
Use everything at your disposal to take down enemies.

Grace has completely different gameplay. Which I like. I love it when these games have us playing as two different characters. It is a big reason why I liked Revelations 1 & 2. Resident Evil 5 was cool too, but you rarely had to swap off of Chris. Still amazing with multiplayer though.
Grace can use infected enemy blood to craft items, ammo, and injectors that can take down enemies in one hit.

Leon is taking a completely different approach.
Leon can use many types of weapons. Keep ammo and recovery items organized in his attaché case and upgrade his weapons with customizable parts

The city looks destroyed as well. We know that we are returning to Racoon City, but it won't be the main setting. Regardless, here are some images from what we might see in the game.

We also got a Resident EVIL Showcase!
And finally the fourth trailer...
