For Honor will be getting a new game mode, Breach, as part of its October 16 Marching Fire update. The 4v4 mode will task one team with breaking into a castle and taking it over, while the other team tries to stop them.

Battles will unfold in three stages, with attackers guiding a battering ram through the castle’s two gates in stages one and two, then killing the king in stage three. The defending team can win by destroying the battering ram in stage one or two, or depleting the attackers’ limited respawn counter at any time. Defenders will have tools such as ballistae and cauldrons of boiling oil to stop attackers, while attackers can install their own NPCs into defensive positions by clearing the defenders NPCs in a given zone. You can watch a gameplay walkthough showing a Breach match from both sides below.
