Elyarchi Alcheman Kickstarter campaign is live

Here at GamingTrend we've taken a look at many 3D printers over the years. Lately, we've seen a lot of innovation in the space but something we haven't seen much of is a printer that focuses on high-performance materials like PEEK, PEI and Carbon Fiber enhanced filaments. The Elyarchi Alcheman Kickstarter campaign looks to lower technical barriers and allow some of those tough-to-print materials to be more accessible to home users.

Looking over the campaign's description, what really caught my eye was a big focus on quality, accuracy and consistency over speed, leading to better durability when printing with the high-performance filaments. For example, campaign backers can receive the core components of an FPV drone kit, Hi-Fi speakers or an espresso coffee grinder. With just the core components, backers then can print the exterior using the fancier materials. Back when I used to fly my drone, I would have loved the ability to print repair parts but that's just not feasible using PLA. PETG may have worked but using something like CF Nylon would have given me much more confidence in the parts.

So, what's the big differentiator with the Alcheman to enable it to print the high-performance materials? An astonishing max hotend temp of 450ºC and a heated chamber capable of 90ºC.

While not necessarily required for the tough-to-print materials, the feature set also includes auto calibration, input shaping and multi-color printing. Although this is the first printer I've seen with a five-color system in a single unit.

Below you'll find the spec sheet but for more information check out the Kickstarter campaign. Stay tuned to GamingTrend for more Elyarchi and 3D printing news and info!
