Dungeons and Dragons shares their roadmap for 2026

Wizards of the Coast has announced their initial plans for 2026 at GAMA Expo for Dungeons and Dragons. All new books and features are coming to your local games store and D&D Beyond:

The 2026 roadmap for D&D.

D&D Seasons in 2026

Giving broader context to the major product drops, Senior Vice President Dan Ayoub also introduced the concept of “Seasons” to D&D. Using major book releases as an anchor point, Seasons structure connected products and play initiatives to build a stronger sense of community and ongoing conversation around the major releases.
  • Season of Horror
    • April through June 2026
    • Anchored by Ravenloft: The Horrors Within
    • Tarokka Deck, The Horrors Within DM screen and map pack
    • Organized Play connected to Ravenloft and horror themes
  • Season of Magic
    • July through September 2026
    • Anchored by Arcana Unleashed and Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall
    • D&D Reference Card Decks
    • Organized Play connected to Arcana Unleashed and high magic themes
  • Season of Champions
    • October through December 2026
    • Anchor product: To be announced later
The last major announcement at GAMA was the return of an updated D&D Encounters program, to encourage more live play at local game shops, driving deeper community participation and conversation around each major release. Wizards of the Coast will be working closely with local game stores to help grow in-store D&D play sessions, with kits supporting opening weekend and recurring weekly play.
