Today, Level Infinite launches their survival horror VR title, Dread Meridian, on Steam and Meta Quest.
Level Infinite has unveiled the final look at the grim frozen world of Dread Meridian with the game’s launch trailer ahead of the game’s release tomorrow, January 22. Dread Meridian from developer KUKRGAME is an original atmospheric VR survival horror game inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s “At the Mountains of Madness,” set on a 1930 arctic expedition. Players take on the role of Daniela, a researcher who ventures to a remote island in a desperate search for her missing twin sister, Isabella. Dread Meridian will be available on Meta Quest and Steam for $19.99. Players can still pre-order the game on Meta Quest today and receive a 15 percent launch discount.
In this harrowing adventure, players will scavenge the frozen wasteland of Oglanbyen for resources, solve cryptic puzzles and come face to face with terrifying creatures while unraveling the mystery of Isabella’s disappearance. Planning is key to survival on the lost island, and players must choose how to best utilize their limited resources and customizable weapons to battle the hostile monsters with intense VR combat and tactical decisions. When ammo is low, players can pull out their trusty knife and fight to their last breath. As players uncover the secrets of Oglanbyen, will they pierce the veil surrounding the island, or succumb to its terrors?
PVP multiplayer for up to four players in VR will also be available at launch. Players will go through matches in teams of two, switching between humans and monsters, as they work together to take down the opposing team. Players can take the skills they’ve learned through the single-player campaign into multiplayer, and discover a whole new way to play Dread Meridian as they put themselves in the role of the game’s grueling monsters.
