Detective James Foster handled routine cases—from petty thefts to family disputes—until the day he suddenly took his own life. Was it buried debts, personal crises, or the pull of darker forces?

His superior brushes off the tragedy as just another case and dumps all of Foster’s unsolved investigations on his partner, Claude Rowland. Initially reluctant, Claude approaches each file with professional diligence. He traverses Arkham’s deserted streets, interrogates residents of dilapidated homes, and explores abandoned factories and neglected tenements.

Every clue reveals another layer of horror—ancient symbols, forgotten rituals, and occult references. Player choices shape both the investigation’s progress and Claude’s sanity, leading to multiple possible endings based on how much of the cruel truth he dares to uncover.
