Coral Island announces release date for 1.2 update

Narrated by the wonderful Sarah Sunstone again, Coral Island is receiving its next major update that includes the much-anticipated multiplayer and a revamped romance system! Mark your calendars for August 14th @ 10am PDT.

Co-op Fieldwork: Team up to share resources and daily chores!

Co-op Farming: Expand your farm, grow crops together, and build bigger barns.

Co-op Marriage: Take your in-game relationships to the next level with multiplayer marriage!

Revamped Romance Progression

Hangout Events: Spend quality time with your favorite islanders through optional mini-events. From cozy picnics and jam sessions to spontaneous beach bonfires, these moments let you connect in new ways.

Hangout Cutscenes: Each hangout triggers a unique cutscene, separate from Heart Events, focusing on your personal bond with an NPC.

Heart Events 11-15 (post marriage)

Deeper Conversations: Discover new dialogue that reveals your spouse’s dreams, fears, and aspirations.

Special Cutscenes: Experience intimate moments in daily life, from quiet mornings together to romantic dates that bring you closer.

For a while now, Coral Island has been criticized for its lack of impactful romance. However, now it seems players will be getting a lot more substantiality!

Spooky Outfits

All dateable characters are getting their own Spooky Outfit just in time for the Spooky Festival! These outfits will appear every Fall season.

You might also spot them during special ghost-story events but only if your friendship with certain NPCs is close enough!

Earlier this year, the developers of Coral Island also announced the next game they're planning on releasing. They've reassured fans that this doesn't mean progress on Coral Island will slow down, but will just be something else to look out for! You also get free goodies for owning Coral Island.
