The holy grail of audio is True Wireless (that is to say, no wire between the two earbuds), but with solid battery life and whole sound. Top-tier audio team Cleer thinks they've cracked that with their newest pair of audio devices, the Arc II Gaming and Arc 3 Gaming. When a company puts the word "Gamer" in their product name, we want to know what make it different. Let's get that from the Cleer team themselves:
The Arc 3 Gaming earbuds feature Dolby Atmos optimization, Snapdragon sound with head tracking that allows deeper gaming immersion. Arc II Gaming and Arc 3 Gaming are equipped with the Ultra Low Latency Qualcomm USB-C dongle that allows greater connectivity to all your gaming devices and Snapdragon Sound for Hi-Res certified audio playback.

We've checked out the Qualcomm and Snapdragon combination in other earbuds in the $300+ range before. The extra horsepower of the Qualcomm processor (these are likely the Snapdragon X Elite, the newest iteration of that device) brings with it a number of impressive capabilities.
The new Arc 3 Gaming earbuds feature multi-functional technology and are equipped with voice control, Dolby Atmos optimization with Dolby head tracking for immersive sound, aptX™ Lossless and Snapdragon Sound™ Certification, LDAC (Lossless Digital Audio Codec) Hi-Res ultra-clear wireless audio transmission reproduces every beat with subtle and rich details.
The best part is that these are open-ear. We've tested out open-ear headphones before, but those were not True-Wireless, instead using a behind-the-head band to conceal the connection. Better still – if you're the type that struggles with earbuds inside your ear, these might be for you.
Introducing the Arc 3 Gaming, our first true wireless open-ear gaming earbuds, designed specifically for mobile gamers who demand the best in sound, comfort, latency and freedom. Our innovative open-ear technology lets you immerse yourself in the game while staying aware of your surroundings—no more sweating or ear fatigue during long play sessions. Dolby Atmos optimization with head tracking allows deeper than ever gaming immersion, and the Ultra Low Latency USB-C dongle allows greater connectivity to all your gaming devices
The innovations don't stop there, apparently – the touchscreen case that provides a recharge for these earbuds also have a UV light inside to sterilize them. I can't say I've ever seen that.
Let's take a look at what the team has to say about the Arc II Gaming.

Arc II Open Ear Gaming Earbuds are our purpose made gaming earbuds. Arc II Gaming Earbuds feature greater earhook flexibility for improved comfort, 6-axis motion sensor for hands free control, IPX5 water and sweat resistance, and improved battery life with an enhanced charging case. These gaming earbuds also come equipped with our ultra-low latency USB-C dongle for excellent wireless audio quality.
Another open-ear earbud, these look like they are more focused on providing a grab-and-go earbud at a lower price point. There are a handful of differences to know – here's a quick breakdown below:

Both of these devices feature noise reduction microphones, which should be great for chat while still being able to hear things around you. They also both feature a solid amount of battery life, hitting 10 hours for the Arc 3, and 8 hours for the Arc II.
One of the biggest differentiators (and you'll want this if you're using this for Nintendo Switch) is the low-latency USB dongle present on the Arc 3. Aimed at reducing audio latency (29ms by their measurements) to ensure clear sound for whichever platform you're using.
If these piqued your interest, you can grab the Arc 3 Gaming in either black or white finishes for $234.99 on Amazon, or the Arc II Gaming in black or white for $189.99, also at Amazon.
