It appears that the Adeptus Mechanicus, the technology-driven cult based on Mars, will face off against the Iron Warriors in the upcoming Eye of Terror expansion set for release later this year. Games Workshop revealed two new units for the Adeptus Mechanicus - a new Archmagos named Thulia Ghuld and new heavily armed Hastarii. The reveal article confirmed that the two new Adeptus Mechanicus units will be pitted against the Iron Warriors, who are emerging from the Eye of Terror with several new refreshed Chaos Space Marines units.
Per the reveal article, Thulia Ghuld is particularly adept at the art of war and single-mindedly obsessed with blowing up enemies of the Imperium of Man. She's often accompanied by the Hastarii, heavily armed Skitarii cyborgs with their right arms replaced by heavy weaponry.
The upcoming Eye of Terror expansion is expected to be the last major release for Warhammer 40K until a new 11th Edition ruleset is released later this year. Rumors suggest that the 11th Edition will focus on a return to Armageddon, with starter products featuring Space Marine and Ork armies.
