Abxylute unveils two new Switch 2 controllers: The N6 and N9C

I'm always up for anything that improves my Nintendo Switch 2 handheld experience. There are a few options out there, but expanding my horizon has lead me to abxylute. Today, the company has officially announced the launch of their N6 and N9C, two deck-style gaming controllers compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Both have their own function and form, but both also look awesome. Check out the details below, and stay tuned for our incoming reviews!

[Launch Soon] abxylute N6/N9C Nintendo Switch 2 Controller
abxylute offers portable and precise handheld and mobile controllers for phones, tablets, and Nintendo Switch. Enjoy seamless, accurate gaming anytime, anywhere.
abxylute announces the launch of N6 and N9C, two deck-style gaming controllers compatible with Nintendo® Switch™ 2, designed to deliver a more comfortable, precise, and flexible handheld gaming experience for both casual and competitive players. N6 and N9C bring feature-packed control to the handheld form factor, combining full ergonomics, motion control, turbo, vibration, and deep customization as standard. While both controllers share the same core philosophy, each is built for a distinct play style: N6 is optimized for long-session stability, and N9C adds an iconic layout, mechanical inputs, and a nostalgic design inspired by classic Nintendo GameCube™ controllers.
abxylute developed N6 and N9C around a simple idea: handheld gaming should feel natural in the hands. Both controllers are designed as plug-in, deck-style solutions for Nintendo® Switch™ 2, offering immediate wired connectivity with no pairing steps and no charging routines. Players simply attach the controller and start playing. Both models share the essentials players rely on every day, including built-in gyro motion control, vibration feedback, drift-free joysticks, turbo functionality, custom button mapping/macros, and a dedicated C button for system features.

N6 Deck-Style Controller Features

Full Compatibility with Nintendo® Switch™ 2 System Features

The abxylute N6 is a deck-style controller fully compatible with the full feature set of the Nintendo® Switch™ 2 system. It supports the system’s controls and functions, ensuring seamless integration across gameplay, communication, and system-level features.
Full-Size Ergonomic Grip Design

N6 is built with full-size, console-grade ergonomics to support long gaming sessions in handheld and docked play. With an 8.5 cm grip height matched to full-size official controllers, it presses comfortably into the palm for a secure and stable hold. Its larger form factor distributes pressure evenly across the palms and wrists, reducing fatigue and discomfort during extended use.

The grip geometry replicates the feel of a traditional console gamepad, providing a natural hand position that improves stability, precision, and control. Deep, contoured handles follow the natural shape of the hands, increasing grip security and maintaining consistent posture over time.

Drift-Free Hall Effect Joysticks

N6 uses Hall effect joysticks that read movement magnetically rather than through mechanical contact, eliminating friction, long-term wear, and input drift over time.

To recreate the feel of a full-size controller in handheld play, the joystick angle is increased to 23 degrees compared to the 18-degree angle used on standard Joy-Con controllers, improving thumb comfort, control leverage, and precision during long sessions.

Larger joystick caps and an integrated anti-wear metal ring reinforce durability while preserving consistent accuracy for action titles, shooters, and gyro-assisted aiming.

Smart Offset Layout and Button Feel

The controller features a smart offset layout that optimizes joystick and button placement for improved comfort and reach. By aligning primary controls more naturally with thumb movement, the layout reduces hand strain and supports more accurate input during long sessions.

N6 uses conductive rubber ABXY buttons and D-pad to deliver a familiar, comfortable press well suited for long, everyday play. For faster reactions in action-heavy games, the shoulder buttons use tactile switches, providing a quicker, more defined response with clear actuation feedback.

Together, the layout and button design reinforce natural hand posture while balancing comfort and responsiveness across a wide range of play styles.

Built-In 9-Axis Motion Control

A built-in 9-axis motion sensor provides native Nintendo® Switch™ gyro output for precise aiming and movement. By tracking tilt and rotation across three dimensions, N6 enables smoother and more intuitive motion input in supported titles, improving accuracy and immersion in motion-based gameplay.

Turbo and Adjustable Vibration Feedback

Turbo Function -
Turbo enables rapid repeated inputs at three selectable speeds, supporting fast, repetitive actions while reducing physical strain and improving reaction consistency.

Vibration Feedback - Dual linear motors deliver high-definition haptic feedback with four selectable intensity levels: 0%, 40%, 70%, and 100%. The adjustable system provides detailed tactile feedback for in-game events, allowing players to tailor the feedback strength to their preferences or game requirements.

Dedicated C Button for System Communication

N6 includes a dedicated C button mapped to native Nintendo® Switch™ 2 system features, providing direct access to GameChat and communication functions. With a single press, players can initiate native communication and access system-level controls without interrupting gameplay.

Programmable Buttons with Macro Support

N6 features programmable buttons that support both custom mapping and macro recording. Players can assign frequently used actions to the rear buttons or record multi-step input sequences and execute them with a single press. This reduces finger movement, improves reaction speed, and enables more consistent execution in fast-paced or competitive gameplay.

Wired Low-Latency Connection and Power Design

N6 connects through a direct wired USB-C interface, delivering stable, low-latency input with instant responsiveness. The controller contains no internal battery, eliminating the need for charging routines and long-term battery degradation. The open charging path allows uninterrupted gameplay while the Nintendo® Switch™ 2 charges, supporting extended sessions without removing the controller.

N9C Grip Controller Features

Iconic NGC-Inspired Design

N9C is built around a distinctive NGC-inspired visual design that pays homage to one of Nintendo’s most recognizable controller layouts while updating it with modern hardware and ergonomics. From the asymmetrical button sizing to the overall silhouette, the design emphasizes clarity, character, and control identity. The layout allows players to distinguish key inputs by sight and touch, reducing mis-presses and improving rhythm during fast-paced gameplay. N9C is designed for players who value a controller that looks deliberate, feels familiar, and reinforces instinctive play through muscle memory.
Full-Body Plug-In Form Factor with Wired Connectivity
N9C uses a full-body plug-in form factor with a direct USB-C connection to deliver immediate responsiveness and stable performance. By eliminating wireless pairing, signal dependency, and battery management, the controller provides consistent, low-latency input from the moment it is connected. The solid integrated form prioritizes structural rigidity and hand stability, delivering a grounded, console-like feel during handheld play while ensuring reliable performance across long sessions.

Mechanical Inputs Throughout

N9C adopts a fully mechanical control philosophy across its primary inputs. Mechanical micro-switch ABXY buttons and triggers are paired with tactile shoulder buttons and a responsive D-pad, delivering crisp actuation, fast response, and long-term consistency.

Capacitive Joysticks with Swappable Gates

The left and right joysticks use next-generation capacitive sensing with adjustable actuation, allowing players to fine-tune input resistance to match personal preference and play style.

Players can swap between 8-way and circular gate rings to adapt the control feel for different game genres, from precise directional input in fighting and platform games to smooth analog movement in action and adventure titles. This modular design enables a more personalized control experience and improved precision across a wide range of gameplay scenarios.
