Yesterday, Knight Models launched their MyMiniFactory Tribe for their Batman Miniature Game, a competitive skirmish game pitting gangs and crews of Gotham’s legendary characters against each other.

In 2012, Knight Models launched a skirmish adaptation of the Arkham City video game called Batman Miniature Games (BMG), wherein Batman, his allies, and his greatest foes fought for control over Gotham City. Since its release, the game has incorporated over 80 years of Batman comic, game, and film characters alike into its robust catalogue of metal miniatures. Now into its 3rd edition of the game, the game still has an active competitive and hobby scene. In recent years, the greatest issue has been that the miniatures, especially from the early days, are not all that easy to find… and can have a pretty heft price tag when you do.

However, times have changed and now players and hobbyists can print (and soon purchase) those high-quality sculpts in SLA resin! Starting this month, Knight Models has started a systematic release of its BMG models through its Tribe Subscription. Starting in October, a new crew will be added every month in STL format, always accompanied by loyalty rewards every 4 months. If you want to upgrade your subscription, The Gotham Lords tier is designed for fans who always want more. In addition to everything from Gotham Watcher, this level gives you 4 or more additional miniatures each month. As needed, Free Agents will be added to this tier to balance and reinforce the tier’s value.

Today, you can get the first month free of their Gotham Watcher tier, which gets you the Welcome Pack. The Welcome Pack has two starting 350 rep crews: One with Batman (including Tim Drake and Damian Wayne) and one with The Joker (including Harley Quinn and Killer Croc). It also includes all of the cards and tokens, rulebook, and even scenery you can print and affix to cardboard. The only additional item you’re going to need is several d6 dice (one or two of which in a different color). Here is Knight Models’ official announcement:

“Welcome to the world of Batman Miniature Game! Step into Gotham City with a growing library of detailed STL files for 3D printing, with or without supports. Start playing now with free rules on the official app and a battle-ready crew from the Welcome Pack. Every month, new themed releases expand your collection with terrain, exclusive versions of heroes and villains, plus options for crews, objectives, markers, and accessories. Batman Miniature Game is the acclaimed skirmish of fast-paced, narrative-driven combat. Command iconic heroes like Batman, Catwoman, or Nightwing, or lead villains such as the Joker, Bane, or the League of Assassins. Build your crew, control key locations, and fight for Gotham’s fate. In this Tribe you’ll get the digital files needed to play (cards, tokens, markers) and STL miniatures to print at home. Without a 3D printer?
