We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Dark Horse Comics, one from Marvel Comics, and one from Titan Manga. We also have three reviews from Tim Jenkins! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins I – Issue #6/6
A fabulous look at how our Vox Machina heroes met each other during a deadly set of quests. This final issue of the series has a moment for every character to shine while also providing some great character moments between characters.
My favorite part of this series has been the clear ability to see when Natural 1's or Natural 20's would happen as well as getting to see everyone a little less powerful than we saw them in Campaign One or the TV show.
If you've ever wanted to have these comics in print versions, now is your time!
Dark Horse Comics

X-Men of Apocalypse (2025) – Issue #1
A story about time travel, being lost in time, family, and the difference in parental styles gives us X-Men of Apocalypse.
If you've not read any of the past X-Men of Apocalypse stories, you may be a little lost, but you can get on board pretty quick with a great opening recap and the ability to see the lineup. We have the X-Men of Apocalypse vs The Uncanny X-Men!
You'll see some familiar faces as well as some twisted versions of familiar faces. It's a fun story so far, but I'm excited to see how the whole story arc will work as a full story.
Marvel

Cosmic Censorship – Vol. 2
There is a LOT going on already in volumes one and two. We already have a protagonist, a set of antagonists, protectors of the protagonist, and then a group watching the protectors of the protagonist. Seems a bit confusing, but writer
Ryu-Ichi Sadamatsu does a great job of making sure everyone stays distinct as we slowly start to uncover the mysteries of the Cosmic Censors.
Who are the "heroes" and who are the "villains" in this story? Can destiny really be changed? Can the world be saved? We'll have to hope volume three can provide us with some more answers!

Conan the Barbarian – Issue #26 Review
Conan the Barbarian #26 kicks off the next chapter of Jim Zub’s Conan run with a bang. Filled with subtle-yet-powerful worldbuilding and more than enough action to please long-time Conan fans, this issue offers us a hearty taste of what is to come over the course of this arc that will lead to him becoming king of Aquilonia.

Spider-Man '94 – Issue #3 Review
While most of issue 3 revolves around exposition or different characters talking either to each other or themselves, it progresses the plot forward significantly, offering plenty to entice readers to come back for the next issue.
The creative liberties taken by the DeMatteis in regards to Morlun may turn off some fans who prefer his characterization in the mainline universe, but it works well for this universe and the story that’s being told. Overall, issue 3 is a decent second act in the overarching plot, providing readers a chance to breathe while learning about Morlun and his plans.

Sinister's Six – Issue #2 Impressions
Building off the events of the previous issue, we’re given more insight into the world changed by Revelation. Specifically, we’re given a deeper look into the members of Sinister’s band of unlikely allies/agents and their motivations for working for him.
Compared to the first issue, events really pick up pace in this issue. Before, the bulk of the issue was talking after the action sequence at the beginning. Here, however, it feels more like a spec ops style mission, with a good balance of action and stealth mixed throughout.
