We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Dark Horse Comics, one from Marvel Comics, and one from Titan Manga. We also have two reviews from Tim Jenkins including Conan the Barbarian #25! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Stranger Things: Tales from Hawkins 2 – Issue #4/4
This series comes to a close with one of the most creative storytelling elements for the entire series. Tales from Hawkins includes four stand-alone stories filling in gaps left by the first few seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix.
The finale uses a Shark documentary playing in the background of a science lab to help showcase why the Demogorgon was able to get into Hawkins Lab and how quickly things went from "normal" to off the charts everything is bad.
While not every issue of this series features a main cast member, each one did a great job of adding something to the world of Stranger Things while also providing great art and framing for a show turned to a comic book! Get the whole series now at Dark Horse Comics!

The Amazing Spider-Man: Torn (2025) – Issue #1
Spider-Man fans rejoice as J. Michael Straczynski returns to the Spider-Verse bringing us a trip to college with Peter, MJ, Gwen, and Harry! From falling asleep in classes to breaking through glass, Spider-Man is back for a solo-series for the first time in a while!
The art flashes us back to an older age for Spider-Man and it feels good. From top to bottom Spider-Man feels "right" while giving us new. With how exciting the first issue was, I'm very excited to see what Straczynski and penciller, Pere Perez, has in store for us!

Isekai Metaller – Vol. 1
This series, so far, is a true love-letter to both classic metal as well as Dungeons & Dragons. Alexi, a metaller, finds his way to another land, or is it? Power levels are a thing here in a big way, and your class and level changes how people see you. Alexi, he's off the charts.
I really enjoyed reading through this volume as I'm a big old school metal fan as well as a D&D player. So it hit everything it needed to for me. From references to bands left and right, to the Flying V being his weapon, to all the fun little D&D references and characters with great classes; give Isekai Metaller a shot!

Conan the Barbarian – Issue #25
With a compelling story to frame it and artwork that could honestly stand on its own, Conan the Barbarian #25 is a celebration of everything the Cimmerian has been and continues to be. This deluxe-sized issue is filled to the brim with the fantastic storytelling we’ve come to expect from Jim Zub, showcasing the Barbarian’s storied life in a way that feels both like the end of a chapter and the beginning of another.
