We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week; two from Dark Horse Comics and one from Titan Manga. We also have two reviews from Tim Jenkins featuring Conan the Barbarian stories! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're taking a look at this week!

Hellboy in Love: The Art of Fire – Issue #2/2
We've gotten several Hellboy stories of note from Dark Horse Comics in the past few months, but this series really takes the cake. From the monsters to the combat and the funny quips from Hellboy himself, The Art of Fire makes the most of its two parts creating a full story that is great on its own, but could easily feed into the next mini-series.
The art feels perfect for Hellboy with artist Alex Nieto doing the character right and keeping everything Hellboy, there for the viewing. From the colors to the designs, I enjoyed going through this series. Here's hoping we continue to get solid stories from Hellboy!

Saint Seiya: Dark Wing – Vol. 1
This series is a spin-off of the Saint Seiya series by Masami Kurumada featuring an all new story from both the original creator and writer Kenji Saito.
As someone new to the franchise, the first episode did a great job of letting me know all of the characters while the following chapters build the world without relying too much on the original series to follow along.
The story follows Shoichiro as he celebrates life on a yacht with his schoolmates only to meet a grim... end? He awakens in Elysium to find the world isn't as he once thought it was and his purpose has only just now been awakened.
There's quite a lot to this series I haven't seen yet, but Dark Wing has made it clear that I need to do a deep dive into the franchise as a whole.

Gwenpool (2025) – Issue #2/5
After an intensely action-packed first issue, Gwenpool finds a way to take it up a notch and leave us wanting the next issue right after. A great aspect of this series are the characters around Gwenpool who most any Marvel fan already knows in Spider-Man, Kate Bishop, and Jeff.
While the Gwenpool / Gwen Stacy storyline is going, those who haven't read Marvel in a while will still have heard of the moments mentioned throughout Marvel's history. Some moments are bit more iconic than others, so even if you've been out of the Marvel game for a while, Gwenpool provides enough to have fun!

The Savage Sword of Conan – Issue #10 Review
Whether you’re a fan of Jim Zub’s ongoing works with Conan the Barbarian and other Robert E Howard stories or simply a fan of action-packed stories of good versus evil, there’s sure to be something you’ll enjoy in this book. While it does ultimately serve as a taste of what is to come from Zub’s upcoming Scourge of the Serpent mini-series, the stories stand well on their own, and can be enjoyed by all.

Conan the Barbarian – Issue #24 Review
With plenty of action and no shortage of high stakes, Conan the Barbarian #24 is a fun rollercoaster ride carrying us at a breakneck pace towards a heavy conclusion that carries a promise of something more ahead.
