We're back to recap a great week of Comics & Manga we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Dark Horse Comics, one from Marvel Comics, and one from Titan Manga.
We also Tim Jenkin's impressions of the most recent Sinister's Six! At the end, keep an eye out for a special "thank you" for a wonderful first year talking about comics & manga regularly here on GamingTrend.com!

FML – Issue #6/8
The color in this series has been absolutely astounding. How it's used not only to pull focus and show off characters, but it's used to show how memories fade in different areas and how we see ourselves versus the rest of the world from an emotional perspective. This works hand and hand with the story as we see how Patty saw herself as a kid while remembering more of how she was during that age. She's just trying to help her kids not make similar mistakes.
Patty (The Mom) has been such a great character and we really get to see her shine bright in this issue! While everything at this point in the world is simply awful, can the family stay together and stay strong? This has been a fun and wonderful series to read from Dark Horse Comics and writer Kelly Sue DeConnick
Dark Horse Comics

The Amazing Spider-Man: Torn (2025) – Issue #3
Things just keep getting more complicated for Peter Parker as his fight with Evangeline has made MJ feel like Peter isn't as connected to her as she is to him. Can Peter finally find balance between his personal life and his secret life as Spider-Man?
This series is such a wonderful read as we get a perfect blend of action with Spider-Man mixed with the emotional journey that Peter Parker is going through. Seeing him with MJ, Harry, and Gwen is a lot of fun and a throwback for a Spider-Man I remember reading a while ago. We even get some Aunt May scenes in this issue!
Marvel

Stray – Vol. 1
A story about two people hurt by a system putting them in horrible positions that change their lives forever. Hachiya Ken was framed for the murder of his mentor leading to his prison time. The day he gets out, he meets Hana, the daughter of the man he "killed."
The two go on a journey together to find her mother who is supposed to have all the answers. This story is so cute from start to finish. The relationship between Ken and Hana is so sweet considering their traumas. We also get a full story in this volume, which I love having every so often from Manga I'm reading. You can read the full story right now!

Sinister's Six – Issue #3 Impressions
Building off of the events of the previous issue, Sinister’s Six #3 brings the limited series to a conclusion that, while exciting at moments and interesting in some regards, leaves a bit to be desired.
While not a bad ending by any means, the limited space to tell the story causes what was an interesting idea to feel rushed at the finish, with twists that are surprising as much for the reveal itself as they are because they weren’t given enough time to be properly built up.
