We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: two from Marvel Comics and one from Titan Manga. We also a review of the Spider-Man: Holiday Spectacular from Tim Jenkins! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Daredevil/Punisher: The Devil's Trigger (2025) – Issue #1
Matt and Frank always have something they can teach each other when they have a team-up / versus story arc. Sometimes one teaches the other a little more though, and so far, Frank is showing Matt how dangerous it can be to protect everyone and let the system do it's job.
Jimmy Palmiotti, writer, does a great job providing the reader with enough context throughout the start of the story that anyone can enjoy The Devil's Trigger, but if you have any previous knowledge of the characters, you'll have a great time coming back to this iconic duo.
Marvel

Star Wars: Boba Fett - Black, White & Red (2025) – Issue #3
This series has been fabulous for showing just how deadly Boba Fett can be. While we didn't get to see a ton of him in the movies and his show was extremely hit or miss, the comics do a great job of giving us why he's known as the Galaxy's most deadly.
This story is about Boba's bounty at the time, yes, but also the lengths he'll go to never leave a bounty unfinished. How much spite can one Mandalorian have to just keep going no matter what? This is a great example of that.
Marvel

Gamera - Rebirth - : Code Thyrsos – Vol. 1
I hadn't watched the Gamera show on Netflix before picking up this volume, but it didn't matter one bit. Writers/artists Cambria Bakuhatsu Taro and Hiroyuki Seshita do a great job of building the world so that anyone picking up this volume can enjoy it on it's own. However, after reading through this, Gamera is now on my list to watch on Netflix.
The characters have clear driving forces that keep them going, the action sequences are well-designed, and the story keeps things moving at a quick pace without losing time for character development. If you like Kaiju stories, this is a fun take on the genre!

Spider-Man: Holiday Spectacular (2025) – Issue #1 Review
Spider-Man: Holiday Spectacular (2025) #1 is a heartwarming holiday story wrapped in superhero-themed paper. Beyond giving us an all-too-relatable story of a man trying to cope with spending the holiday without someone he loves, it also highlights the value of good friends in one’s life through the outpouring of friendship shown to Spider-Man during this time.
While not a typical superhero book, it’s a delight to read and one that will surely brighten any Spider-Man fan’s holiday season.
