We're back to recap a great week of Comics & Manga we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Dark Horse Comics, one from Marvel Comics, and one from Titan Manga.
We also have Tim Jenkins' impressions of the most recent Spider-Man Noir! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome – Issue #1/4
When we took a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad, I thought that was one of the darkest Cyberpunk stories to date. Well, in Issue #1 of Chrome, it blew that level of grittiness out of the polluted water of Night City (or at least the junkyards outside of it).
This first issue has a LOT of twists and turns with the characters and situations. What starts as a Rebellious Rocker going to make a music video with friends quickly turns into a fight for survival in some of the nastiest parts this world has to offer in 2077.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Torn – Issue #4
This truly might go down as one of my favorite Spider-Man series I've read in a long time. The balance of Peter to Spider-Man is spot on with a focus on what makes Peter the most interesting: his relationships.
He struggles to keep his own balance as school, work, and friendships are all floundering as he tries to also be Spider-Man. His friends don't avoid the frustration as their own lives all have issues coming up. This issue's focus was Peter, Peter's new "nemesis," and Harry vs Norman. The end is a great cliffhanger, so be prepared!

The Ghostly Darkness of Kanata – Vol. 1
While I've watched and read a lot of horror, nothing could have prepared me for this volume. The art perfectly captures the horrors of the ghostly world while also showing us how it slowly changes the waking world. The norm for Manga is black and white, but the black and white truly pops to provide focus and kept me looking for clues on what was real and what might be imaginary. Spoiler alert: there seems to be a lot that's real.
Noct Koike, the writer and artist, does a great job of providing us with a hero who clearly has been impacted from ghosts long enough to NEED to chase them. Learning the mystery behind these ghosts and WHY they remain on Earth after their death. While her "hero persona" might need some work (you'll understand when you read it), I'm excited to see where The Ghostly Darkness of Kanata goes next!

Spider-Man Noir – Issue #4 impressions
Spider-Man Noir (2025) #4 sees the separate storylines we've been following for the previous 3 issues finally begin to coincide, as Spidey goes up against the greatest threat we've seen thus far. A threat that could spell disaster not only for the people of New York, but also lead to long-term ramifications for our vintage Webslinger.
With intense action and growing tension that manages to seep into even the comedic moments, things are progressing much more quickly now, and it'll take a miracle for Spider-Man to find his way out of this mess.

Coming this week from GamingTrend Comics & Manga:
