We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Dark Horse Comics, one from Marvel Comics, and one from Titan Comics. We also have two Marvel reviews from Tim Jenkins! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins I – Issue #5/6

This issue focuses on the budding friendship between Vex and Keyleth as they search for help to find the imprisoned Vax. Meanwhile, Vax is finding a way to set himself free and solve the mystery of the curse of this town. Oh, and Scanlan and Grog show up!

Matthew Mercer and the team do a great job of providing some new art and scenery while providing a new way to enjoy Vox Machina and maybe introduce some new people to the series as a whole. You can almost tell what the rolls are for every scenario from Natural 1's to some special Natural 20's!

The Last Wolverine (2025) – Issue #1

Another addition to the X-Men: Age of Revelation run, The Last Wolverine features Leonard, the last Wolverine. While many of our heroes have turned to Revelation, leaving their heroic days behind them, and other have passed – Leonard has made it his mission to keep The Wolverine alive in Canada by being the best hero he can be.

Leonard saves kids, kittens out of trees, and even has dinner with a special cameo! In a run that has been vast already, The Last Wolverine has been a sweet and special moment within all of the chaos in the world around him. Can he keep this up? We'll have to wait to find out.

Peanuts Slipcase Set: The Third Classic Peanuts Collection

My favorite part of Saturday morning was seeing the Peanuts comic strips in the newspaper while watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. It was a perfect start to Saturday. Now, all of us Snoopy fans can relive some of those moments with a whole new set of comic strips!

This collection features comics from 1958-1964. More than 300 total pages of Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and all of our other favorites! If you or someone in your life is a big Peanuts fan, this is a great gift to send their way or add to your collection!

Spider-Man '94 – Issue #2

Spider-Man ‘94 #2 continues along the story begun in the previous issue, building upon it with the reveal of Kaine’s true origins and the first encounter between Spider-Man and Morlun.

While some may dislike the change to Kaine’s origin and the age-old tale of Mary Jane and Peter having problems, the story is overall a fun, nostalgic ride that fans of the original show and long-time Spidey fans alike can enjoy. While it remains to be seen whether the story will be able to continue to capture the vibe of the original cartoon without feeling like a hollow copy, I’m optimistic that the series will continue to deliver.

Sinister's Six – Issue #1

While the overarching storyline of Age of Revelation doesn’t appear to be anything groundbreaking for Marvel or X-Men on the surface, Sinister’s Six #1 at least offers the possibility to do something new and interesting with familiar characters.

The core concept of a group of unlikely allies being united beneath the even more unlikely leadership of long-time villain Mr. Sinister is an interesting premise, but seems just as likely to retread familiar ground as it does to try something new for the characters.

Has the Age of Revelation inspired Mr. Sinister to turn over a new leaf? Or are his motivations more sinister?
