We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com last week! We have three comics to showcase this week: one from Marvel Comics, one from Dark Horse Comics, and one from Titan Manga. We also have two reviews from Tim Jenkins featuring two comics from Titan Comics: Caesar's Spy, and the first issue of the highly anticipated Conan: Scourge of the Serpent! At the end, keep an eye out for a preview of what we're looking at this week!

Battleworld (2025) – Issue #1
Battleworlds have happened before in the Marvel Universe, but never like this right now. We have a long list of fan-favorite Superheroes all coming together but from different universes and timelines. From Ant-Man and Wasp to Spider-Man and Storm; there are so many ways this battle could go.
Battleworld (2025) doesn't require a ton of previous knowledge since Hank Pym (Ant-Man) tells you all you need to know for things to make sense, however, any amount of knowledge is helpful for the easter eggs.
From the action to the pure chaos of emotions, Battleworld sets off on a great foot and is sure to be an epic story.

Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins – Issue 4/6
This story keeps getting better and better and keeps adding more and more moments of pure D&D magic. With most Critical Role fans knowing these characters when they were a bit higher leveled, it's fun seeing them a bit lower when they were younger. Still awesome adventurers, but maybe a bit fewer abilities.
Something I really find fun is trying to guess what the roll was that a character rolled before a moment of persuasion, attack, and more.
If you've loved Vox Machina in the Critical Role proper, the TV show, or novels; this will be a great addition to the lore.

Gran Familia – Vol. 1
In a world full of terrifying Demi-Mafia, one small group of friendly "demi" make it their goal to better the world even if it's just saving one shop at a time.
I love the art style and the difference between the art of our main group of heroes versus when they're in their full "demi" forms.
Can this rag-tag band of "good" demi's make the world a better place? Will Leo's past get in the way of him getting the results he wants to see in the world? Hopefully we'll learn more in Volume 2.

Conan: Scourge of the Serpent #1
After months of build-up, Jim Zub and Titan Comics finally present the long awaited new mini-series, Conan: Scourge of the Serpent. Though it remains to be seen whether the story will live up to its own hype, this is a solid first issue in what promises to be an exciting new chapter for Robert E. Howard’s timeless characters.

Caesar's Spy Vol. 1
A fast-paced tale set in a pivotal moment in human history, Caesar’s Spy is sure to be loved by action fans and history lovers alike. With stunning artwork complementing a tightly written story, you’ll be hard-pressed to set it down once you start.
