We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com! This week we have a trio of comic impressions from Dark Horse Comics and reviews for a new Conan the Barbarian adventure from Titan Comics and some spooky stories from BOOM! Studios! Sit back, relax, and let's talk comics!

Assassin's Creed Mirage: A Soar of Eagles – Issue #2
Things are heating up in this short run series with Dark Horse Comics and Ubisoft!
While feelings are low with our group of heroes, a story is told that bolsters spirits. A group has carefully teamed up with our Assassin's and will be taking down the Snake Lords together.
This comic can be a bit dark at times, while this art style allows for some really cool visual moments such as the intensity of the detail work on some of the characters or animals, it can make figuring out characters a bit hard past "this character is an Assassin because of their white hood.
If you like Assassin's Creed, you'll want to take a read!

Los Monstruos – Issue #1
In a post-war America where monsters live among us, fur-faced detective Perry Cutter navigates a city of danger, deceit, and ghoulish charm. Los Monstruos #1 blends pulp noir, classic horror, and explosive grindhouse style for a monstrously good time!

Jupiter's Legacy: Finale – Issue #4
This story is wrapping up, and like all good Superhero stories, the calm before the storm generally means some reveals and surprises about our main cast's backstories!
Issue 4 is full of satisfying moments if you've followed this series long and has some twists that will leave you a bit speechless. With only one issue left, this issue does a great job paving the way for the final showdown.
Will our heroes survive the coming storm? We'll have to wait and see!

Conan: Scourge of the Serpent Prelude (Free Comic Book Day) review
Conan: Scourge of the Serpent Prelude (FCBD) is an exciting setup for the next tale in the Barbarian’s legend. It’s a story that existing fans of Conan will be sure to enjoy, and is a perfect place for those who haven’t yet delved into the world to jump in.

Hello Darkness – Vol. 1 Review
While Hello Darkness shows promise, it certainly isn’t for everyone. The anthology presentation—while interesting purely for its uniqueness in the modern day—might not appeal to people who prefer long-form stories that follow a core cast of characters.
While the horror aspects of it will certainly appeal to fans of the genre, those like myself who aren’t as big into horror might not find the stories quite as enjoyable.
That being said, there are bright spots within it that even non-horror fans can enjoy, such as "The War,” and other stories, such as “Something is Killing the Children,” show promise should their storylines be continued in future installments.
