Army Painter Challenge announcement
Published:

The Army Painter and Frontline Gaming have formed a strategic partnership to launch to launch The Army Painter Challenge at the upcoming Las Vegas Open event. This inaugural deployment marks a significant milestone in The Army Painter’s commitment to the wargaming community. After nearly two decades of sponsoring tournaments, paint-n-takes, demos, and events of all shapes and sizes, The Army Painter Challenge is their next mission in advancing tabletop wargaming on a global scale.

They’re putting on the first cross-system celebration of army painting, that will have 13 trophies in total, including a Best in Show award complete with a $1,000 USD cash prize! In the image below are some of the categories that will be up for grabs. What differentiates this competition from others is the focus on full army painting, with army sizes ranging from 5-20 models for a skirmish, and 20 or more for a full army.  The Army Painter has also posted their full rubric, so aspiring artists can see the point breakdown on the competition announcement.
