It’s hard to know what games are worthwhile in the App Store and Google Play, but it’s equally as hard to pass up Warhammer. We teamed up with publisher HeroCraft to give away some codes for their turn-based collectible card game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf. The game puts you into the oversized Space Marine boots of the Sons of Russ as you rip through your foes with bolter and chainsword alike.
Beyond the sprawling campaign, there is also a survival mode and 3v3 PvP multiplayer, including seasonal leaderboards. With multiple heroes (Grey Hunter, Wolf Guard, or Wolf Scout, if you follow the lore), more than a dozen unlockable perks for each class, five battle companions, and a score of weapons and special cards, this is one that has kept me surprisingly busy.
The best part is that the game is free to play, so you don’t have to take my word for it — simply head to your respective app store (App Store or Google Play) and download it to get started. While you wait for the 500mb download, check out this trailer to see what you are getting into.
