Wake up, grab your phone, and catch ‘em all with Pokémon Go’s Equinox event this Friday

School may be in session, and you might have some summer blues, but Niantic has some events planned in store for September 22. Coinciding with the releases of Pokken Tournament DX and the second generation 3DS Virtual Console releases, Pokémon Go will have an Equinox event starting this Friday until October 2.

During the event players can earn double Stardust for catching Pokémon and hatching Eggs, collect special 2 km Eggs at PokéStops and Gyms, and gather special boxes from the in-game shop including the all-new Super Incubators, which hatch Eggs 1.5 times faster. Additionally, registering a new Pokémon to your Pokédex will earn you triple the normal XP during the event time frame.

It’ll be a Pokémon craze this week with two mega games coming out at the same time this week, so this will tide you over until Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon next month. Stay tuned for more news here on Gaming Trend.
