Uncharted 4 to Grace the Cover of Game Informer’s February Issue

Game Informer has revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be featured in the magazine’s February 2015 issue.

The February cover shows new art of Nathan Drake and his brother Sam, both of which were seen in the game’s first gameplay that was shown off at the PlayStation Experience. Game Informer’s coverage will reveal new details on Nate’s life since Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and what he’s been doing in the three years between that and A Thief’s End.

The video accompanying the announcement shows interviews with Naughty Dog developers and actors Nolan North and Troy Baker, who voice Nate and Sam respectively. In it, Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann further echoes previous reports that A Thief’s End will likely be the last game in the Uncharted series, saying that “trying to take everything Nathan Drake has done and who he is, and trying to find closure for that story…that’s really challenging and that comes with a lot of stress.”

Naughty Dog’s Bruce Straley also reiterated that Uncharted 4 won’t be a dark take on the franchise after concerns about the game’s seemingly dark tone arose after the game’s proper reveal at last year’s E3.

“We’re not gonna make it too dark. Everybody calm down, just take a breath. We’re retaining all the lightheartedness, it’s Nathan Drake.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming to PlayStation 4 later this year. At the PlayStation Experience in December, Naughty Dog elaborated on the process of bringing Nathan Drake to the PlayStation 4.
