Ubisoft Apologizes for AC: Unity Launch with Free Games and DLC

In order to compensate players for the poor launch of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Ubisoft is offering players free DLC and free games for those who bought the game’s season pass.

Through a post on the Assassin’s Creed website, Ubisoft’s Yannis Mallat announced that the upcoming Dead Kings DLC pack will be available to all players for free. Those who bought the game’s season pass will be offered a free game to download. The games players will have to choose from are the following:

o The Crew
o Far Cry 4
o Watch Dogs
o Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
o Rayman Legends
o Just Dance 2015

Moving forward, Ubisoft is discontinuing Unity’s season pass.

“I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team,” says Mallat. “These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.

We’ve been working hard to fix the problems players are reporting, and the patches we have released so far have resolved many of them.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been riddled with reported bugs and glitches since its launch earlier this month. The latest patch alone aims to fix over 300 known issues.
