Fight through history in a classic mode, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition revealed

Today, Capcom has announced that a new, updated version of Street Fighter V will be coming PC and PlayStation 4 under the title, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, in early 2018.

This version of the game will include two new modes (Arcade mode and Extra Battle mode), new V-trigger moves, gallery, new user interface, Season 1 DLC characters, and Season 2 DLC characters.

In Arcade mode, you choose your fighter and play through one of six different paths as you fight through Street Fighter history, taking on different CPU opponents each step of the way. This mode will have unique endings depending on the player’s performance through this mode.

Extra Battle mode is a series of timed exclusive challenges available for players to use their Fight Money on. If a player is successful in these four monthly challenges, they can win a special premium costume for that month.

Players of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be placed in the same pool, whether you’re playing on PC or PlayStation 4. Season 2’s DLC content is still being rolled out until the end of 2017 with one character yet to be announced.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be released on January 16th, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and PC for $39.99. For more information, visit Capcom’s official website.
