Sony Online Entertainment, known for its work on games like EverQuest and DC Universe Online, has been acquired by Columbus Nova, and will be now known as Daybreak Game Company.
The acquisition means that the studio will now be making games for Xbox and Mobile devices, as well as continuing to work on PC and PlayStation platforms.
The studio’s current work on EverQuest Next and H1Z1 will be unaffected by the studio’s acquisition, and these games may come to more platforms than originally announced.
