Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U’s All-Star Mode Will Take You Through Nintendo History

The latest Super Smash Bros. “pic of the day” reveals some new details about the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS’ All-Star Mode.

All-Star Mode is survival mode that lets you challenge all the characters in the game, but in the latest installment you’ll battle against characters in the order in which they debuted in their own games, from older characters like Pac-Man and Mario to newer additions to Nintendo’s portfolio like Greninja and Wii Fit Trainer.

Recently, Shulk from Xenoblade was confirmed to be making his Smash Bros. debut in the 3DS and Wii U versions, but he was also part of a massive leak that may have revealed the game’s entire roster.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is coming to the handheld on October 3rd with the Wii U version slated for release later this winter so Nintendo can have more time to work out some bugs.
