Second Ryse: Son of Rome DLC hits Feb. 28th, new co-op mode

The newest add-on for Crytek’s divisive third-person adventure “Ryse: Son of Rome” will be hitting on February 28th, and is titled “Mars’ Chosen Pack.”

This is the second add-on pack for Ryse, and counts toward one of the DLC’s purchased within the Ryse season pass. Mars’ Chosen Pack will include five new maps, a new character skin, and a brand new cooperative multiplayer mode “Survival Mode.”

Leading up to the contents release, the Games on Demand version of Ryse: Son of Rome will be discounted to $39.99 from February 18th – February 24th. There will also be other discounts announced by Major Nelson.

Description of the new Survival Mode:

Some gladiators fight for riches. Others for honor. And then there are those whose only pursuit is a valiant end upon the sands of the arena. In the brand-new Survival mode, such a glorious fate will be within your grasp. There is only one objective in Survival mode:  battle alongside a fellow gladiator against endless waves of barbarians as your health gradually drains, leading to your inevitable fall. The only way to regain health and keep death at bay is with quick kills and brutal executions, but the longer you survive, earning more gold and experience with each wave successfully cleared, the faster your health depletes.

The Mars’ Chosen Pack will be hitting on February 28th and is priced at $8.99.
