Save your patients with the power of rhythm in Rhythm Doctor next year

As if music games couldn’t get zany enough, 7th Beat Games recently announced that it will bring its game Rhythm Doctor to Steam sometime next year, with a mobile release afterwards. The game will test players with saving patients in a hospital, as well as teaching core concepts in music theory.

Rhythm Doctor is a one-button rhythm game that aims to invisibly teach complex music and rhythm theory. The core mechanic is simple: slam your spacebar on the 7th beat to save patients in a hospital. But every level has a twist on that concept: polyrhythms, offbeats, hemiolas, irregular time signatures.. if those don’t mean much to you, don’t worry – it’s designed to make you learn rhythm theory without even realising it!

The game will feature a storyline of over twenty levels, as well as a co-op campaign and level editor. This may top The Metronomicon as weirdest rhythm game concept, but we’re all for it. Check out the trailer above, and stay tuned for more news here on Gaming Trend.
