Rocksmith 2014 Lessons trailer released. Pumpkins smashed.

rocksmithWant to stop being that guy at parties that plays the air guitar leaned up against the wall, all alone? Well, you have two options – become a drummer (whoo!) or take up the guitar for real. Ubisoft doesn’t want you to be lonely. They’ve released a video for Rocksmith 2014 entitled “lessons” that goes over exactly how the new edition will improve on the lesson system from the previous edition of the game. Here’s what they had to say about the new teaching system:

The trailer, “Lessons,” dives into the advanced guitar teaching Rocksmith 2014 Edition provides the player. Providing instant feedback after every lesson, Rocksmith 2014 Edition not only tells you what you did wrong, but details what steps you’ll need to take to fix it. With “Lessons,” you aren’t just learning to play a game; you are learning to play music.

With a completely redesigned interface, new songs, and all-new features, Rocksmith 2014 Edition is tailored to better teach the key elements of guitar playing. A new fully customizable “Riff Repeater” lets players select any section of a song they want to play, and repeat that section over-and-over until it’s mastered. Players can also set the starting difficulty level, speed, or play note-by-note through challenging parts, all on-the-fly. A new “Master Mode” makes playing by memory more approachable and new “Guitarcade” mini-games have been created to hone specific guitar skills. With these flexible and deep practice tools, it’s never been easier for players to play their favorite songs on guitar or bass.

The game features over 50 tracks, including the list below, and is coming for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC early next year. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT!
