One of the new features introduced in Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be the “Live Trigger” system. Think of it like Square’s version of a western RPG’s dialogue tree, except the available choices are supposed to be different each time to boost long-term replayability. You won’t see any of that come into play during the cinematic trailer we’ve got waiting after the jump, but you will get to enjoy the line, “That time was lost, yet time continued onward,” and “Warrior Goddess…now we draw swords!”
Final Fantasy XIII-2 comes to the 360 and PS3 on January 31st, 2012.
